The M26 Pershing was the first truly heavy tank to see service in theAmerican army, designed to replace the M4 Sherman. Named after John J. Pershing,a capable American general during WWI, only a few would see active serviceduring WWII, but many more would be on the front lines of the Korean War.
Featuring thick armour and a powerful 90mm main gun, the M26 is a greatchoice for a late-war American Armoured Platoon, capable of blasting apart enemyarmour and infantry with ease. Its thick armour makes it a tough nut to crack,and makes it a great centrepiece to build your force around. If you want a trulyterrifying Armoured Platoon, consider deploying two or even three, and let thetable shake to the rumble of their treads!
This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game ofclose-quarters tank-on-tank combat, where it makes a perfect opponent for thetoughest of German ‘big cats’. Full rules can be found in the AchtungPanzer! rulebook.
